RO-90 – Sanitize your system

For optimal results, it’s recommended to incorporate this process during filter changes, ideally all five filters. Could you walk us through the steps involved? Initially, drain the system and the tank, followed by turning off all valves, specifically Points X and Z as illustrated in figure 1. Next, remove the three pre-filters and the membrane, while leaving the fifth stage polish filter in place. Then, introduce approximately 2 to 4 ounces of hydrogen peroxide or household bleach into the first stage housing. After that, activate all the valves, and proceed to fill and then empty two tanks of water. Finally, re-install the filters, the membrane, and replace the fifth stage filter, completing the process.
